Satya Das

“Inadequate literacy skills mean that Alberta is sacrificing economic growth, productivity growth, and competitiveness,” says Satya Das in his new book, Green Oil.

“A workforce with stronger literacy and essential skills will be crucial if we want to lead green technology”, agrees Janet Lane, Executive Director of Literacy Alberta.

Green Oil explores the economic, environmental and societal challenges and implications of Alberta’s development of the oil sands, the world’s single biggest hydrocarbon deposit.

Satya’s experience providing guidance and counsel to leaders in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors makes him an honest broker who brings clarity and illumination to the economic and environmental sustainability of the oil sands. Come and meet Satya and support Literacy Alberta.
