Literacy and Learning Symposium 2012

Registration now open for Symposium.

The Literacy and Learning Symposium 2012 theme is Sharing Stories, Changing Lives. It takes place October 17 - 19 in Edmonton, at the Radisson Hotel Edmonton South. 

For the first time the Symposium will be organized jointly by Literacy Alberta, The Centre for Family Literacy and the Community Learning Network. It promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

"This event is a perfect opportunity to tell stories about how literacy, life-long learning and essential skills change people's lives."

Awards of Excellence Nominations Open

The Literacy Alberta Awards of Excellence recognize contributions to the field of literacy in Alberta.  Recognize an outstanding organization, volunteer, student or literacy practitioner by nominating them for an Award of Excellence. The awards are presented during the gala banquet at the Literacy and Learning Symposium.

Bursaries For Tutors and Students

Literacy Alberta supports literacy tutors and students by offering bursaries to attend the Literacy and Learning Symposium 2012. Bursaries cover registration, shared accommodation and a portion of travel costs.
