• Janet Lane was interviewed by the Edmonton Journal on August 9, 2006 regarding literacy rates in Alberta and the impact on our work force. Albertans lacking literacy 'left behind'
• Janet Lane was interviewed by Lethbridge Herald on July 27, 2006 regarding the recent release of the policy document "Literacy: For a Life of Learning".
• Mindelle Jacobs of the Edmonton Sun wrote about literacy for the June 12 issue.
• Literacy Alberta's Executive Director wrote a letter regarding the importance of literacy and workplace training on April 28, National Day of Mourning for workers injured or killed on the job. "Workplace skills must include literacy", published in the Edmonton Journal.
• "Canada's Shame" CBC Newsworld aired a story on May 24, 2006 about literacy in Canada.
