Practitioner support

Literacy Alberta aims to provide people working directly with learners with the skills and resources they need to do their job.  We provide programs and workshops for literacy practitioners, coordinators.

Our flagship service is the New Coordinator Training Program. Each year we bring together literacy program and community coordinators to share ideas, gain skills, gather resources and network. The next NCT event is April 22 - 25. The Resource People and Regional Resource Leader meetings  are on April 25-27. Find out more in Training.

Professional development courses and ideas can also be found on SHARE, Literacy Alberta’s electronic conferencing system. It helps literacy coordinators, tutors, volunteers and learners keep on top of the latest literacy developments, both provincially and nationally.

Share is available to all Literacy Alberta members. If you are a member and a Share user, log in to Share here.

For more information about Share, please contact our office at 403-410-6990, or email to office@literacyalberta.ca.
