Professional development

Literacy Alberta staff have expertise in designing and delivering professional development (PD) training, developing tools and resources, and providing key advice and assistance to the literacy community. We are recognized as a key provider of PD for adult literacy and learning practitioners in the province.

Literacy Alberta believes that PD allows the practitioners to engage more in their work and contributes to enhanced professionalism in the field. Practitioners can increase their skills in working with volunteers and adult learners, managing programs, and developing community capacity to meet literacy needs.
